About Me

I am a New Englander born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island, alumna of the University of Rhode Island and Delta Zeta Sorority, I moved to Virginia Beach in 1989.  Originally a ‘Yankee’ I have firmly established roots in VB and consider this my home. 

Known for years as a veteran Human Resources Business Leader with a reputable career serving people in the Behavioral Healthcare field treating severely emotionally disturbed children and their families, I most recently headed HR at a major law firm.  I am an active Member of the Board of Directors for the Hampton Roads Society for Human Resource Management holding the position of Certification Director.  Bridging the HR and the Real Estate professions makes sense logically given my background of solution-oriented expertise in the areas of negotiation, communication, ethics, recruitment and selection, federal/state regulatory compliance, strategic planning, organization, people engagement and management, finance oversight and benefits administration. 

Given in-depth research and consideration of well-known real estate agencies made my decision to partner with the most winning firm simple.  Becoming part of a nationally distinguished company such as Howard Hanna William E. Wood and working on Don Maclary’s elite Choose A Home Now Team has been invigorating.  My role as Licensed REALTOR® allows me to continue the pursuit of helping people navigate their way to improved lives by reaching their objectives.  I believe that ‘The Business of Business is People’ and ‘People are the Most Important Business of Business’.

As a Licensed REALTOR® I will apply years of finely honed skills, knowledge and business acumen to assist my real estate clients in meeting their home buying and selling goals.

Apart from a steady commitment to my professional life, I am dedicated to my family and friends and unquestionably to my only child who I adore - my ‘miracle baby’ - a son I raised in a U.S. Navy SEAL family who I recently sent off to begin his freshman year of college at Radford University.  

I have enjoyed many passions in my life – among my top favorites list…rock-climbing, skiing, fashion and all things beautiful, art, music, coffee, wine, books, travel, adventure and learning.  A less known fact is that I happen to be a closet-bilingual able to converse in Cantonese.
